Texas DL decides
Texas defensive lineman Donavan Johnson made his official visit to Iowa City this weekend and decided it was a place that he could see himself living for the next four years. So on Saturday night, shortly after Iowa's 30-28 victory over Michigan, the 6-foot-2, 245-pound Johnson gave his verbal pledge to the Hawkeyes.
Along with Iowa, Johnson held scholarship offers from Nebraska, Purdue, Kansas State, Iowa State, UNLV, TCU, UTEP, and several others during the recruiting process. Rivals.com ranks Johnson as the No. 43 defensive tackle in the nation in the 2010 recruiting class.
