Moore in the midst of strong senior season
Rowlett defensive end Damontre Moore made his 2009 debut against North Mesquite in August and it was one of the most eagerly awaited among A&M's commitments for the class of 2010.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Moore had four sacks last season in a backup role, learning the ins and outs of the position while transitioning from linebacker to the defensive line. He alleviated some of the concerns about his future at several camps this summer by using his speed, long arms and pass-rush moves to be a dominant player against a number of Division I caliber opponents. Nonetheless, as Moore himself pointed out, going against guys in T-shirts and shorts which was much different than going against guys wearing pads.
