Gators drop third straight game

Florida's shots drew more iron than nylon Tuesday and the Gators rickety perimeter shooting led to a startling 67-66 loss to South Alabama.
Playing before an announced O'Connell Center crowd of 10,191, UF shot 13.6 percent from 3-point range during its third straight loss. The No. 18 Gators, once 8-0 after wins over Michigan State, Florida State and Rutgers, missed 19 of 22 from behind the arc, ensuring their first December non-conference home loss in five years.
