What is the latest on Beaver commit Iona
One of the earliest and biggest commits to Mike Riley and the Oregon State Beavers for the class of 2010 was someone that had offers from all over and was highly regarded by many coaches and fans alike. Bethel (Wash.) Bethel defensive lineman, Happy Iona committed to the Beavers back in August and ever since then, he has been as solid as a rock as far as his commitment.
The issue is of another variety however and it appears he is in a bit if a bind when it comes to school work.
"Happy is a Beaver all the way," said Iona's coach Gavin Kralik. "He loves Mike Riley and Coach Banker more than anything and he wants to be a Beaver more than anything. Happy is a pretty quiet kid in general but he lights up when the topic of Oregon State comes up. We have been working with him like crazy in order to get him to get his grades to an acceptable level."
