Cal sees contact for first time this spring
BERKELEY-For the first time in this admittedly young spring practice season, the Cal football team ramped up the collisions a bit on Tuesday, going with shells for the first time this season.
The extra physicality drew some noisy outbursts and a lot of crowing from the Bears, showing a new sense of excitement and energy even at this early juncture. While the main thrust of spring practice has not changed much-even down to the scheduled elements-there was a palpable uptick in intensity as the Bears finally got to hit something.
