Three schools stick out to Brown
Irving (Texas) MacArthur cornerback Jalen Brown received an offer a few weeks ago from Texas A&M and was invited to a junior day on the Aggie campus. He was unable to attend, but the staff followed that invitation up with another one for him to visit one of their spring practices. The invite is a repeat of the strategy A&M used so well last year in an attempt to get prospects on campus and have them interact with the staff early in the recruiting process.
The strategy paid off even then as the Aggies obtained three commitments the day of their first spring practice in pads and followed that up with multiple commitments in subsequent weeks from prospects in attendance. Now, Brown plans on making it to A&M this Sunday to watch the Aggies' first practice in pads and the Aggies hope to make a similar impression on him as they did with the prospects a year ago.
