Waller picks up second offer
There was a point when Corey Waller was about to pull the trigger on the Dawgs' offer in early March, but defensive end now wants to see what kind of attention he can get after changing positions to linebacker.
Having the size, 6-3, 210 pounds, and athleticism (40 time: 4.6) to play the backer position, Waller is now working on the technical aspect of reading offenses, covering tight ends and plugging holes.
This offseason he is spending every day working with Polytechnic's linebacker's coach in hopes that he will be able to play a hybrid DE/LB for the team in the coming fall -- at which time he envisions himself already committed to a school.
