Pat Flavin takes in UCLA
This Bruin staff is becoming known as a staff that gets ahead of the curve on players. UCLA was way ahead of the pack on offering offensive lineman Pat Flavin (6-7, 260) from Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy. Only Ball State from neighboring Indiana offered Flavin before then Bruins did since then the offers have been coming in. Flavin was at UCLA's spring game on Saturday.
"I loved it so much," Flavin said. "My dad and I arrived there in the morning and went over to the football office and met Pat Girardi, the assistant recruiting coordinator.
"Pat took us to the office and we met Coach Rick Neuheisel and (offensive line) Coach Bob Palcic," Flavin said. "For the next two hours, give or take, they showed us around campus and the football facilities and everything about UCLA.
