Erie native close to Iowa offer?
As a junior, Justin Wiley put up huge numbers at Erie Cathedral Prep with 1,456 yards rushing, 495 yards receiving, and 34 touchdowns. That type of production has drawn early interest from several colleges, including the Iowa Hawkeyes, who stopped by the Pennsylvania school to learn more about the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Wiley last week.
Iowa has had success in recruiting Erie before, including Cathedral Prep, which has produced former Hawkeyes Bob Sanders and Ed Hinkel. However, Coach O'Keefe is not the only one keeping tabs on Wiley this spring as Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, and Toledo are also staying in contact.
A versatile prospect that could also play safety, Wiley is receiving interest on both sides of the ball, although mostly at running back. Currently, he is still waiting for his first scholarship offer.
