After serving as a defensive coordinator and helping Demopolis (Ala.) High to a championship in 2009, Rudy Griffin was ready for a new challenge. The former Alabama defensive lineman joined Wazzu's coaching staff as a student assistant this summer. Griffins' connection to Demopolis helped the Cougars add a talented running back from the Class of 2011 to their commitment list.
