Dallas (Texas) Lake Highlands is one of the top teams in the Metroplex. The Mustangs went 6-1 in district play and are headed into the Class 5A playoffs beginning this weekend. They clinched their postseason berth with a big win over Jesuit a few weeks. However, they were without running back and Oklahoma State commit Desmond Roland due to injury.

That was no problem as Devonte Sungwengam took over the featured role. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior responded with a career game, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns as well as catching 11 passes for 122 yards en route to being named the Dallas Morning News Player of the Week.
