UW lands No. 20, athletic H-back
Joe Rudolph continues to stay hot.
For the second time this week, the third-year tight ends coach has reeled in an Ohio prospect. According to sources close to the situation, four-star defensive end Austin Traylor, has pulled the trigger and verballed to Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder from Columbus is the 20th known full scholarship verbal in the 2011 class. Though he is listed as a defensive end prospect, it is believed Traylor could also fill a void at the the tight end/H-back position.
Traylor had offers from the likes of Arizona, Michigan, Michigan State, West Virginia, Boston College, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota and North Carolina State, among others.
He becomes the sixth verbal commitment from the state of Ohio in the 2011 class.
At this point, it seems as though the UW coaching staff has one remaining scholarship remaining.
Stay tuned throughout the day for more updates regarding the latest commitment.
