Coaches visit Ameen-Moore
Jonny Miller came to Syracuse after his high school career ended at Mullen High School in Colorado. Now in 2011 Syracuse is trying to land another Mullen prospect. That Mullen prospect this time is Adonis Ameen-Moore.
Ameen-Moore, 5-foot-10, 215 pounds has had a quiet month of recruiting, but there has been a lot of activity as of late.
"Recruiting is going pretty good I am just trying to take my time with everything. I am just weighing all of my options."
Two of those options had coaches visiting the three star running back.
"Last week I just had two schools come in, Syracuse and Utah. Two coaches came from Syracuse and one from Utah. The Syracuse coaches were Tyrone Wheatley and Nathaniel Hackett and Coach Aaron Alford came from Utah."
How did the Syracuse visit go for the Colorado prospect?
"The Syracuse coaches visit was real good we have a real good relationship and they have a real good relationship with my parents. It was pretty good, a nice easy dinner," Ameen-Moore said. "We just talked about the offense and things like that. We really just talked about all kinds of stuff. When we did talk about football it was about the offense and how I would fit.
"It was just like seeing everybody again and catching up because I have not seen them since my visit to Syracuse. I like them just as much now as I did then."
As for Utah who made an in home visit as well, Ameen-Moore will get a chance to take a more in depth look at them soon.
"I head out to Utah next weekend."
The Mullen standout talked about what he likes about the two programs as well.
Syracuse: "I just like the coaching staff. I had a good time when I was in Syracuse. I really like the coaches and I like the direction they are headed."
Utah: "It is close to home and I like the program. They are changing conferences and that is going to be a nice conference to play in. I like the offense and things like that."
With only two more visits left the running back is still unclear if he will set up other visits.
"I have not set up any other visits yet."
Finally, a decision on what college he will pick should happen very shortly after his visit to Utah.
"I will probably make my decision around the end of this month or after Christmas."
