Merrill (Wis.) small forward Paul Jesperson was Virginia's first commitment in the 2011 class.

The 6-foot-7, 190-pounder picked the Cavaliers last July over the likes of Notre Dame, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Butler, Iowa, Arkansas and Northwestern, among others.
