Pichon decides his destination following high school
Malcolm Pichon was a priority target for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs for the 2011 signing class. Head coach Sonny Dykes closed the deal on Pichon Tuesday night in Pichon's Slidell, La. home as Pichon decided to verbally commit to play football for Dykes at Louisiana Tech.
Pichon decided to commit tonight because he wanted to do it face to face with Dykes he said. Pichon has cancelled his visit to Louisiana-Lafayette after committing to Tech.
Defensive tackle has and continues to be a priority for Tech for the 2011 class. With former Ruston High School stand out Jon'al White already signed and Dirk Tanner committed Tech stands on much more solid ground than in the past with defensive tackles. With possible additions of Tyler Porter and Mickey Jackson Tech's defensive line could be looking at the best depth it has ever had at defensive tackle in a very long time.
Sonny Dykes and his staff are putting together one of the best classes in the history of Louisiana Tech. Currently, Tech has 19 commitments with 15 of those being three-star rated prospects by rivals.com analysts.
