Safeties young, but ready
Last season the safety spot was one of the strong suits of the No. 3 ranked Mountaineer defense with veterans Robert Sands and Sidney Glover patrolling the Coach Steve Dunlap's secondary. But with Sands departure to the NFL draft and Glover's graduation, the 2011 edition will be a mix of both experience and youth.
Leading the way at spur safety is Terence Garvin, a junior and Baltimore area product who started all thirteen games for the Mountaineers last season.
