Cornerbacks showing intensity
While the beginning of spring practice is typically viewed as an opportunity to nail down the fundamentals of a system, cornerbacks for the West Virginia Mountaineers have been showcasing much intensity and enthusiasm over the initial learning period.
Coach Daron Roberts has been emphasizing this energy over the first six sessions as he works towards installing the new 3-4 defensive set.
"I think we've progressed over the six practices. I was really impressed with our intensity and I thought we played with a good tempo," Roberts said. "We're still missing some assignments we need to get ironed out over the next nine practices, but the one thing that we've been stressing with the defense is effort, attitude."
