Scott Worthy of Early Accolades

La Porte, Texas - In the state of Texas few players have picked up more early notoriety than Bulldogs linebacker Hoza Scott. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker first began making a name for himself playing for head coach Jeffrey Larue as a freshman. Since then schools from across the country have taken notice of Larue's prize pupil.

"We've had everyone come through, Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, LSU, you name them, they've been through here," one La Porte assistant said. "We've had a lot of smaller division one schools come in and they take one look at him and though they like him, you can tell they know he isn't a guy they'll ever land."
