Metroplex RB standout works through slow recruitment
Last December, Former Aledo running back and incoming Texas freshman Johnathan Gray stood on stage to accept his second Tom Landry Award in as many years for the most valuable player in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
His shadow, over the past two years, loomed over almost every player in the Metroplex and eclipsed some of the best running back prospects in the country with a record-breaking career.
That December night, his shadow again cast down over McKinney Boyd running back Bryan Driskell, who sat on the front row as a finalist for the city-wide honor.
