The Oregon Ducks took a leap of faith with the recruitment of Carlyle Garrick. Defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti was one of the few college coaches to continue with the recruitment of Garrick after he sat out his senior season at Castro Valley high school recovering from multiple knee surgeries.
