Corey Holmes grew up rooting for Michigan

TheWolverine.com Most high school football players in Florida grow up rooting for one of the in-state powers. Miami, Florida State, and Florida become early favorites across the Sunshine State. Not for Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas 2014 wide receiver Corey Holmes, however. Just a glimpse of the MIchigan Wolverines on his T.V. set convinced a young Holmes that the maize and blue winged helmets were for him.
"I actually was a very big fan of Michigan growing up," he explained. "I was a fan indeed. It was just, as a kid I turned on a Michigan game one time and I really don't know what it was about them, but I just grew up a Michigan fan. I really liked watching them play on TV, and the players that came out of Michigan, I was big fans of them too."
