West Virginia has used a revolving door at the cornerback position as depth and injuries have forced a number of players into action this season. And while results have been mixed, position coach Daron Roberts believes the experience will only benefit the group down the road.
Because many of the players seeing action are freshmen, Roberts has doubled as a motivator for his unit and used the experiences of some of the former West Virginia players at the position as examples.
"I've shown tapes of Brandon Hogan and Keith Tandy as underclassmen here that were beat consistently and now they're in the NFL and everyone has forgotten about those early days," he said.
