Michael Mauti wanted to address his teammates Monday, just two days after another knee injury that would force him out for the remainder of the 2012 season during the Indiana game.

The still-unspecified injury was serious enough for Mauti to internally question his future in football, and what the next steps in his career would be moving forward, friends and teammates said.
