Wallace talks Iowa visit
With a high school teammate at Iowa and a couple of visits to the Hawkeye State under his belt, highly sought after offensive lineman Brian Wallace says he is starting to feel at home in Iowa City. We caught up with the 6-foot-6, 304-pound St. Louis native after his latest trip to get his thoughts on the Hawkeyes, when he might look at making his college decision, and much more.
Q: Can you kind of take me through what you did up at Iowa this weekend?
WALLACE: When I got there, we had dinner with the team and I hung out with JP (Jonathan Parker) and some of the other players. Afterwards, we had some free time, so I just hung out with them for the rest of the night. On Saturday, we had a tour of the campus and then we had lunch.
Q: Then did you get to meet with the coaches before you headed home?
WALLACE: Yes, I talked with the head coach, Kirk Ferentz, and Brian Ferentz, the o-line coach, when we had position meetings.
Q: What was that meeting like? What did the conversation consist of?
WALLACE: Well, the conversation was basically talking about the position and they were showing us film of the Iowa games. We were talking about the o-line as far as how they do things as far as run blocking and passing blocking and things of that sort.
Wallace, a three-star prospect, reports scholarship offers from his top five of Iowa, Alabama, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Arkansas, along with others such as Missouri, Georgia, and Indiana.
