Humphreys County linebacker Jamon Hughes had flown under the radar most of the year until Memphis offered and set up an official visit in December. After attending the Egg Bowl, however, and getting an offer from the Bulldogs, he opted to commit to State. The Tigers had begun to make another recent push for his services, but then he took his official visit to Starkville over the weekend and that sealed the deal.
