Hempstead, Texas, has produced a number of athletes over the years and the in the class of 2007 athlete Chris Tate and National Top 100 receiverTerrance Toliver have put Hempstead on the minds of college recruiters.

Tate is not reporting any offers but is receiving significant interest from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor, Kansas St., and Kansas, while Toliver has reeled in 12 offers from the likes Texas A&M, LSU, Baylor, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and others with a few standing out early on.
