Clemson in the picture with Tennessee linebacker
Cris Ard
TigerIllustrated.com One of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee is Huntington two-way athlete Chris Donald. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is coming off a big junior campaign where he rushed for nearly 1,600 yards, while on defense he tallied 125 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.
Most schools are evaluating him as a linebacker, and several have already offered, including Tennessee, Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and most recently Alabama.
"Coach (Sparky) Woods called my coach and told him I had an offer, and left his number. I called him back and we talked and he told me they were offering," Donald said Tuesday. "Coach Woods just told me he wanted me to visit their campus before I made any decisions."
Tennessee will have an assistant by Huntington today. On Tuesday Mississippi State was in. Vanderbilt was by last week, and later next week Alabama and Clemson are slated to be in.
