Mobile, Ala., Williamson's Nick Fairley will begin his senior season today with the first day of spring practice. And the 6-foot-4, 255-pounder likely won't be doing it without an audience of college coaches.

Fairley has already had Alabama head coach Mike Shula stop by, and many more are expected on campus soon to check out the rising senior.

"Alabama's head coach Mike Shula came by on Monday. I saw him, but I couldn't talk to him," said Fairley. "Everybody wanted to meet him, but we couldn't talk to him.

"It feels good to have a head coach come see me."

Along with the Tide, Fairley is expecting coaches from the SEC, Big 12 and the Big East over the next few days.

"There are a lot that are supposed to come by," he said. "LSU, Kansas State, West Virginia and Auburn are coming down."
