Two recruits of Big East interest were in action today at the King James Shooting Stars Classic in Akron, Ohio. Alex Legion and Darquavis Tucker led the Michigan Hurricane in a rout over the All Iowa Attack.
The Michigan Hurricanes smacked the All Iowa Attack 77-54 in bracket play at the King James Shooting Stars Classic in Akron Ohio this afternoon. Two players of Big East interest played key roles for the victors.
Alex Legion, 6'3", Guard, Detroit Country Day, Class of 2007
Scored 24 points on 10-of-21 shooting from the floor, 0-of-6 from beyond the arc and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line. He also contributed three rebounds (two on the offensive glass), two blocks, an assist and two turnovers.
Legion scored his points primarily on lay-ups - either in transition, slashing to the glass for entry passes or taking his man off the dribble. His most impressive baskets were a pull-up 12-footer and a strong finish while closely guarded in transition - "and one".

Tucker dropped in 30 points on 13-of-16 shooting from the floor, 1-of-1 from beyond the arc and 3-of-4 free-throws. He also posted six rebounds, three steals, and an assist.
