Gilmer's Johnson destined for greatness
For the better part of the last four years, those that closely follow high school football recruiting have had a very hard time finding a player to compare current Texas Longhorns linebacker Sergio Kindle with.
As a two-way threat, Kindle is a rare talent that has the physical tools to be an All-American on either side of the football. In fact, it's safe to say that in Mack Brown's tenure at Texas, there hasn't been a player like him in the Lone Star State.
However, if you fast orward to the Class of 2008 you might just have the next Kindle.
Meet Gilmer (Texas) High running back/linebacker Justin Johnson. The 6-2, 210-pound Johnson is the early favorite to be the state's top prospect and already the comparisons to Kindle, Oklahoma running back Arian Peterson and former Texas linebacker Derrick Johnson are taking place.
