Bama in the mix for lockdown CB prospect
Home to at least eight Division I-A college football prospects, national power Lakeland (Fla.) High School is a must stop for college coaches during the spring evaluation period. One of the Dreadnaughts most coveted players is cornerback Ahmad Black, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound playmaker who has piled up 11 early offers to date.
"I really like everyone who has offered, and I'm not planning on narrowing it down anytime soon," Black said. "Ohio State, Ole Miss, Alabama and Clemson are some that stand out so far, but they aren't my overall favorites. They are just schools that I really like up to this point.
"So far this week Florida, Clemson and Georgia Tech have been to the school to see me, and Alabama, FSU, and some more are coming between now and the end of the month."
Alabama is a school that offered early in the process and the Tide is currently in the running for Black's services.
