Hialeah, Fla., High School defensive lineman and linebacker Adewale Ojomo grew up a Hurricanes fan.

So he was thrilled when a UM scholarship offer arrived in the mail recently. He lists other offers from Ole Miss, N.C. State, West Virginia and Florida International.

"Miami started recruiting me last spring after coach (Randy) Shannon came out to see me practice," Ojomo said.

He lists the Canes among his current favorites but says he's keeping things open for now.

"Miami, N.C. State and Pittsburgh are among my favorites - there are more, but I can't name them all," he said. "There's no frontrunner at this point. When spring ball is over I'll narrow it down to five."
