With tenacity that is rarely seen at the high school level, Eaglecrest , Colo., defensive end Charles Hayes has been receiving looks from college programs across the country. But after taking two visits to Fort Collins, this standout received his first scholarship offer from Colorado State earlier this spring.

"They offered me early in April. I thought it was great and that all my
hard work is paying off. It also gives my family some breathing room and
showed me some respect from what I have done."

Hayes is familiar with Colorado State and speaks highly of the program.

"I am hearing from the community that they have a great program. Coach
(Sonny) Lubick is a great coach."
