As every Longhorn recruiting fan knows, today is a big day on several fronts. Rivals.com will release its first batch of five-star prospects, and a handful of Longhorn commits are expected to make the cut. Not to be forgotten, the players that signed with Texas just three months ago as part of the 2006 recruiting class will be settling in on the Forty Acres as Tuesday is reporting day.

One player that's ready to get into the football action as soon as possible is Deon Beasley. The speedy playmaker was part of West Orange-Stark's state qualifying track team, so he didn't have a lot of time to invest in his football workouts during the spring semester, but he's ready to get back into the mix and begin the next stage of his football career.
