Rebels still in mix for standout LB

RebelGrove.com Ole Miss is still in the running for Huntington, Tenn., top linebacker Chris Donald, but the Rebels have some work to do as Donald likes his home state Volunteers and now some other schools have entered the picture, including Alabama and Notre Dame.
"It (recruiting) has really picked up," Donald said Tuesday evening. "I was just on the phone with coaches from Memphis, Notre Dame, and Alabama and missed a call from Vanderbilt."
Notre Dame reportedly is sending a written offer to Donald this week. The Irish joined Ole Miss, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Miss. State, and Clemson in the race for the 6-foot-2, 220 pound linebacker. All those schools have offered.
While Donald said Tennessee is likely the team to beat for his signature next February, Ole Miss is certainly in the race for the prep standout.
