Athletic defensive tackle claims Clemson offer
Clemson has now become involved with an athletic defensive lineman from the state of Alabama in Buckhorn tackle Justin Sanders.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder is coming off an impressive junior campaign where he tallied 119 tackles and 18 sacks.
"Clemson was the last school to offer me. It was over the phone during the last week of May," Sanders told Tigerillustrated.com in an interview this week. "I've got them now, Louisville, South Carolina and Southern Mississippi. Those schools have offered."
Sanders, who holds a 380-pound bench press max, is visiting Alabama this weekend, and on the 15th he will visit Auburn. Those two schools were in contact via phone last month, along with Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisville, Arkansas, Southern Mississippi, UAB, Memphis and Troy.
Sanders lists his early favorites as Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson and Louisville.
