Cavaliers ring the bell with commitment No. 12
Virginia's 2007 recruiting class is off to an excellent start, as Coach Al Groh and the Cavaliers have landed 11 commitments, five of whom are four-star players and six of whom are three-star prospects.
And the class grew by one Thursday night, as UVa picked up its 12th pledge, and it comes from a player who will help at a position of need.
Anthony Mihota, who just landed his scholarship offer from Virginia earlier today didn't need long to make a decision, as he informed the UVa staff Thursday night that he wanted to be a Cavalier.
"Virginia has been my favorite for a long time. I was hoping for an offer from them and when it came, I knew the time was right," said Mihota.
Mihota received a text message earlier today from his lead recruiter at UVa, Steve Bernstein.
"I called and talked to Coach Bernstein and then he passed the phone to Al Groh. Coach Groh asked me how excited I would be if Virginia offered me a scholarship. I told him, it would make my day. He offered then."
