In many cases, a player will start off slow on the recruiting trail and then explode once the high school season starts. Other times a major university will offer a player, thinking that he can be a sleeper who will make an impact.

It remains to be seen which category Judson, Texas cornerback Randez James fits under, but Arizona's coaches saw enough of him to believe that he deserves an offer.

"Right now I have offers from Arizona, Duke, Tulsa, and Purdue," James said.

While James expects his offer list to grow, he says that he is planning on taking his time with his recruitment, and currently has no favorite.
