Drinkgern excited to be a Wildcat
Marysville, Kan., offensive lineman Kaleb Drinkgern was one of the first members of Kansas State's 2007 recruiting class. The multi-sport athlete for the Marysville Bulldogs received his scholarship offer from K-State coach Ron Prince after taking an unofficial visit to see Manhattan.
"Everything is going great," the 6-foot-7, 250-pound Drinkgern said. "Summer is going on and I'm on the go. I am just trying to stay in shape for the next season. I've been hitting the weights and running during the week and then I have been playing a lot of basketball. We've got the MAYB basketball tournaments going on and we've played in a few of those on the weekends."
Drinkgern chose the Wildcats over early interest from Colorado State, Michigan State, Illinois, Air Force and Army, but one new school tried to get join the picture recently.
