Golding=Turnbull? WVU wants to find out
Several years ago, an underweight, lanky (6-4, 234) defensive end arrived at West Virginia, and the rest, as they say, is Pro Bowl history.
Renaldo Turnbull from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, became a three-year starter for Hall of Fame Coach Don Nehlen from 1987-89, a first round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints and made a 1993 Pro Bowl before retiring from the Charlotte Panthers after the 1997 season.
Now comes another lanky DE prospect from the Islands (Jamaica) and it's obvious that lead recruiter Butch Jones and head WVU coach Rich Rodriguez are hoping that Nickcaro Golding (6-4, 208) follows Turnbull's progression.
