Evans gearing up for a weekend trip in July
Indianapolis (Warren Central) runningback Darren Evans may not be close to making a college decision, but he is beginning to narrow down his list. Cardinalsports.com caught up with the father of the 6-foot, 207-pound back from Indy recently to get an update on the 2007 recruit.
Darren Evans, Sr. said his son is keeping a busy summer schedule, both on and off the football field. His schedule is filled with working out in the weight room, taking summer school classes, and practicing a couple of times a week. Still, with his time limited, Evans is in the very early stages of narrowing the search for a future college home.
Louisville, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are amongst schools on Evans' list. His father said that while he wouldn't mind seeing his son choose a school that is close to home, the ultimate decision will be up to the player.
