Rush in a rush to get to UCLA
Today is a big day for all the incoming Bruin freshmen as they are getting ready to begin their UCLA careers. Two-way standout Dylan Rush from Kona, Hawaii, Konawaena left last night Hawaiian time and will be on the Westwood campus on Sunday. Rush is the epitome of a UCLA Bruin prospect.
The two-way standout was Hawaii Gatorade State Player of the Year for his performance on the gridiron. Trojans beware, Rush was also State Champion in both wrestling and judo.
The ever busy Rush was also notable throwing the discus and shot. To give you and indication how tough Rush is he continued to compete even though he was nursing an ankle injury.
Back to his football honors, Rush was second-team all-state as both a tight end and defensive end. He is coming into UCLA to play rush defensive end.
Rush is one of two Hawaiian's to be entering UCLA this fall.
