Va. OL: I could see myself playing for Cristobal
Woodbridge, Va., C.D. Hylton offensive lineman William Alvarez says he received a Hurricane scholarship offer after coaches visited his school in May.
"I'm being recruited by coach (Marquis) Mosely and (Mario) Cristobal," Alvarez said. "They text me a lot, but I haven't talked to them in a little bit."
As for where the Canes fit into his recruiting picture, Alvarez said, "It's Miami. I like Miami. I like coach Cristobal and coach Mosely, and I've talked to coach (Larry) Coker.
"It's a place I'm going to take a visit to. I'm not sure yet if it'll be a summer visit or not."
Alvarez says he spoke to Coker at the end of May.
"He was just saying that he really likes my film and that I can be an impact player for them," the 6-foot-5, 305-pounder said. "He wants me to go down there and visit before an official visit. I'm sure I'm going to visit Miami at some point."
