WRs turning heads at FSU's Camp
Though the first two and a half days, Florida State's annual football camp hasn't exactly been overflowing with elite talent for the '07 and '08 recruiting class. However, there have been a few exceptions, especially at the wide receiver position.
Although he has yet to officially participate in the camp, Deonte Thompson, the state's top rated wide receiver, has been on hand the last couple days. As far as players that have taken part in the various camp exercises, including the passing drills, two receivers have emerged to lead the pack.
The first is Markish Jones. The 6-foot, 185-pound wideout has been on FSU's radar for quite some time and he showed why he's on the verge of picking up a Seminole offer. Not only did he excel running routes and catching the football, the Spartanburg, South Carolina native switched to defense for a short time and recorded a couple pass break-ups as a defensive back.
