Eight is great for Pack

TheWolfpacker.com NC State picked up verbal commitment No. 8 when East Wake High corner Dominique Ellis pledged for the Pack. Ellis chose NC State over offers from South Carolina and East Carolina. North Carolina and Virginia Tech were also recruiting him.
Ellis will play his first year at East Wake in Wendell, N.C., this fall. As a junior he had 87 tackles and 13 interceptions for North Springs High School in Atlanta. He also returned two kicks for scores.
"Just overall the whole program, and they have one of the best defense in the nation," Ellis told The Wolfpacker on why he committed to State. "They had the best feel for me. The coaching staff was very cool with the players. It was just right for me.
"NC State have been my leader the whole time. I wanted to talk it over with my family, weight my options and check out other schools first, but NC State was my favorite from the beginning."
