Donley commits to Georgia Tech
The high-profile commitments continue for Georgia Tech as the Yellow Jackets have added yet another top prospect to the fold. D.J. Donley, a four-star wide receiver from Charlton County High School in Folkston, announced on Sunday that he too plans to sign with Tech next February. Donley, who is rated the No. 20 player in Georgia, is the Jackets' 12th commitment for the Class of 2007.
Donley privately told the Tech coaches a couple weeks ago he planned to be a Yellow Jacket, but he planned to make it official on Sunday when he calls head coach Chan Gailey to inform him of the decision.
"I'm committing to Georgia Tech," Donley said early Sunday afternoon. "I'm about to call Coach Gailey right now and tell him."
Donley, who camped at Tech on June 10, chose Tech over offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida State, Florida, Purdue and others. He was recruited by Tech recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach Giff Smith.
