The summer doldrums were just wrapping up for Sooner fans when on the eve of Sooner two-a-day workouts a bombshell dropped about the status of a pair of Sooner starters.

Well, the commitment of former LSU and Colorado signee Phil Loadholt may not be big enough to squelch a national story but at 6-foot-9, 345-pounds, Loadholt is more than capable of blocking the thought from their minds.

In fact, at that size Sooner fans are hoping he can block a lot more than a few ugly images from their mind.
