The last couple of weeks have been a little quiet on the recruiting front, but things will undoubtedly heat up more as the season nears. In fact, things have already reached a boiling point with one of the Beavers' top receiver targets in Darrell Catchings. The speedy 6-foot-1, 185-pound wideout from Escondido, California was getting noticed by a number of programs, but with OSU on top he decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a commitment.

"I've decided to go to Oregon State," Catchings said. "They had kept talking to me and keeping in touch, and it seemed like a really good school for me. I like the program and they've had good receivers. I like the coaches too."
