Chad Battles doesn't need much motivation on the football field. "When I'm on the field that's all I think about," says the 6-foot-2 linebacker.

Coming into this season, Battles had a lot of collegiate offers on his plate. NC State and Virginia Tech showed some interest. Maryland and Marshall went as far as offering scholarships. In the end the Orange won out on the Chad Battles sweepstakes.
