Rivals100 tackle is in no hurry to decide
Over the summer months Lakeland, Fla., defensive tackle John Brown saw eight of his Dreadnaught teammates make a commitment to a Division I program. Though he is the most highly rated and one of the most sought after prospects on his team, he has decided against jumping on the early commitment train.
"I'm trying to win another state championship," said the 6-foot-2, 285-pound Rivals100 tackle. "It's sort of my main goal right now. I'm going to wait for the right one (choice) to come to me. Then I'll make the best decision I can."
Rivals.com rates Brown as the No. 48 prospect in the nation. As flattering as that may seem, he realizes that he would probably be rated much higher if his academic house were in order.
